Description

This board gives children the opportunity to arrange blocks sized 1 to 10 in grooves. It allows them to learn to order the blocks from smallest to largest. “Mistakes” have meaning; the child sees that the block he or she picked is either too small or too big and hence, the child can self-correct, fostering independence and protecting him or her from the often humiliating experience of being told by the teacher that he or she is wrong.

One set of blocks (1-10) and one set of number markers are included.

The pocket-sized flip book includes the best and most frequently played games for the Counting Board from Margaret Stern’s Experimenting With Numbers.

The book is 5 by 4 inches, made out of sturdy cardstock and can be easily balanced on the teacher’s knee as she teaches the game. The bottom pages contain a picture of the game and the top pages explain the lesson. Each of the book's three sections contains skills that are most appropriate for a designated age group.
