This board gives children the opportunity to arrange blocks sized 1 to 10 in grooves. It allows them to learn to order the blocks from smallest to largest. “Mistakes” have meaning. The child sees that the block he or she picked is either too small or too big and hence, the child can self-correct, fostering independence and protecting him or her from the often humiliating experience of being told by the teacher that he or she is wrong.
